People’s choice: Brisbane’s best coffee spots

The people of Brisbane have spoken!

It’s the daily ritual we can’t live without, so we thought it was time to uncover Brisbane’s best coffee spots.

And the votes are in!

Miss Jones Cafe | New Farm

This groovy little cafe not only serves up a killer breakfast seven days per week, their coffee also means business. Led by Head Barista Angie (who, by the way, just placed third in Latte Art Smackdown!), get ready for a coffee experience like no other.

Specialty coffee, good food, good people. Is there anything better?

Fuel & Co | Nundah

A local favourite since the dawn of time (not quite, but you get the idea), Fuel & Co in Nundah is well known for its quality coffee, incredible breakfasts and cabinet full of takeaway treats. If you’re a coffee lover (and more importantly, appreciate good coffee) you’ll be right at home here.

Also – be sure to chat to Drew, he knows what’s what.

Salt  | Newstead

Recognised by Brisbanites far and wide as one of the best coffee spots in town, Salt needs no introduction. From the bespoke coffee machine, to the shaved dark chocolate sprinkled atop the cappuccinos, and the epic toasties, Salt is everything we need in our lives.

Sunroom | Newstead Studios

A sundrenched communal table, specialty coffee and delicious treats. Of course, we’re talking about Sunroom in Newstead. Opened in 2020 within Newstead Studios, it’s the ultimate pitstop for your daily dose of sunshine… the caffeinated kind.

And according to the regulars, Sione is the coffee queen!

Soul Revolver Co | Alderley

Alderley locals rave about this little gem, and it’s not hard to understand why. With epic coffee on offer seven days per week, as well as pastries, flowers, gifts and even wine knowledge workshops, Soul Revolver has everything the modern-day Brisbanite could ever need.

P.s word on the street is that Marn is the coffee whisperer.

Black Sheep Coffee | Woolloongabba

Nestled within the industrial estate of the Gabba, you’ll find Black Sheep Coffee. The team is constantly experimenting with new brew methods and bean varieties, so you know you’ll always have a unique and memorable coffee experience.

They’re also pet friendly! And we heard Tim is a bit of a legend.

Kin & Co | Teneriffe

For those of you in the know, you’ll be familiar with Kin & Co. Serving up seriously good coffee, delicious smoothies, pastries and so much more, why not pick up a coffee (and a pastry or two), wander over to the riverwalk and take in the scenery.

Consider your weekday mornings, sorted.

Sprout | James Street

It may be an artisan bakery (and a flippin’ great one at that), but Sprout also slings a mean coffee. Just ask the James Street locals. With Reuben Hills beans in the machine, a Sprout coffee is guaranteed to hit the spot – along with one of their specialty pastries, of course.

Bunker | Milton

Covered in creeping vines, Bunker is a slice of green heaven within industrial Milton. Proudly sourcing their coffee from 10 Aussie roasters, their blends are rotated weekly, offering customers the opportunity to try new varieties and broaden their own coffee repertoire.

You’ll also find filter coffee and pour-overs, as well as the odd international blend. Honestly, if you love coffee, add Bunker to your list.

The Little Green Room | Highgate Hill

If you’re looking for an epic spot to down your morning jolt of caffeine, The Little Green Room is the place to be. Open daily, it’s the perfect detour on your way to work, for a mid-week revival or weekend brunch date. You can even take home some plants to add to your collection!

Oliver James | Newstead

Single Origin coffee, Jocelyn’s Provisions pastries, and dogs! We may have just found your new go-to. Owner Ellen really knows her stuff and is always up for a chat, so swing by with your furry friend to make the most of this beautiful cafe – with a coffee in one hand and a sweet treat in the other.
