Get ready to melt: Brisbane Ice Cream festival is back!

Because a balanced diet is an ice cream in each hand.

We love ice cream a waffle lot here at the G&G, which is why we’re so excited to announce that the hottest and coolest festival is returning to West Village in less than a month!

Back for its fifth instalment, Brisbane’s devout ice cream community are in for a real treat this year. With a new event format, this year’s festival promises to be full of ice cream inspired events to satisfy sweet tooths of all ages.

Due to its overwhelming success in previous years, the festival’s new itinerary will ensure families have the opportunity to celebrate all things creamy and coned for not one, or two, but THREE weekends! So there’s plenty of time to get your scoop of the action!

Chef’s Playground is kicking things off with decadent dessert degustations on Friday 18th March and Saturday 19th March, hosted by four of Brisbane’s best chefs including Philip Johnson (E’cco Bistro and Philip Johnson Catering), Matt Golinski (Ready, steady cook and Peppers Noosa Resort) and William Wallace (Executive Chef at William Wallace Group). This event is not to be missed, and tickets are extremely limited so get in quick!

Little ice cream lovers will also be well taken care of this year with the introduction of the Sundae Funday activation. Kids can indulge in a weekend of cool and crafty activities complete with a complimentary scoop of gelato from West Village’s world-renowned Anita Gelato. Sessions will take place at 10am, 12pm and 2pm on Saturday 26th March and Sunday 27th March – with tickets selling for only $10 per child. What a weekend they will have!

Throughout the festival, those looking for a sweet escape can step into West Village for the Ice Cream All Day and Night offerings. Sweet specials will be available from 17th March right through until the festival finale, culminating in an All Weekend ice cream event featuring some of Brisbane’s most beloved vendors including Ungermann Brothers and Roll It Ice Cream Co

Stay cool, Brisbane!
