Eat Local Week returns, showcasing the best of the Scenic Rim

Get ready to eat the rainbow over nine delicious days!

What began as just ten events in 2011, Scenic Rim’s Eat Local Week now offers over 100 events for you to eat and drink your way across this breathtaking region.

From Saturday, June 25 to Sunday, July 3, Queensland’s Scenic Rim will be home to a myriad of long lunches, degustations, gourmet masterclasses and so much more.

The tantalising program features a four-day lunch series by Blume Restaurant, hosting the talented Zach Tinsely from Congress Wine, Phil Marchant and Finn Burgess of ESSA with their impeccable harvest-dining experience, along with Matt Blackwell from GOMA. The City Chef X Blume series will feature an eight-course degustation lunch, with paired wines accompanying each course.

To whet your appetite further, highlights of this year’s Eat Local Week include a paddock-to-plate feast at Hazelwood Estate, macadamia farm tours at Greenlee Farm, Alpaca picnics and food trucks galore, as well as cooking demonstrations by Gourmet Creations and Towri Sheep Cheese.

But, for those looking for the ultimate Eat Local Week experience, Saturday, July 2 will see the region come alive for the Winter Harvest Festival. This homegrown food festival will offer tasting plates, local wines, and the chance to meet local growers and celebrity chefs up close. If you only attend one event during Eat Local Week, make sure it’s the Winter Harvest Festival. You won’t be disappointed.
