With winter fully underway, sometimes it’s just easier to stay in the comfort of your own home, but luckily going out doesn’t always mean bearing the chill. The ultimate solution: winter igloos. A ski trip without the cost, and comfort without the trackies; a supreme wining and dining experience like no other. Make the most of the faux ski-lodge experiences Brisbane has to offer this Winter…

CUSTOMS HOUSE VEUVE CLICQUOT IN THE SNOW | CBD

Fancy French champagne and soft cheese in a bubble – heaven. The Customs House winter special has pulled out all the stops with guests enjoying Veuve Clicquot, a delicious selection of wines and cocktails and some seriously divine food. The Moreton Bay bug croissants are a sure winner along with oysters and baked brie of course! Enjoy bubbles and nibbles under the stars at the stunning Customs House – all from the warmth and comfort of an Aspen-style igloo. Running from 4pm on Thursdays and Fridays and 1pm on weekends, take in the stunning views and food on offer before the season’s end.

LINA ROOFTOP | SOUTH BRISBANE

Lina Rooftop is notorious for their amazing views of the city but your eyes might even be elsewhere this season as their igloos are the cutest you’ll ever lay eyes on. Aesthetic to the max, they’re styled with soft draping curtains, rugs and soft natural light along with a heater to keep you nice and toasty. In terms of nibbles, comfort food is where it’s at with arancini, baked bries and chocolate fondus along with warm bread and olives.

CALI BEACH CLUB | SURFERS PARADISE

Although this one is a little further from the city, it’s certainly worth the visit if you’re dreaming of a ski trip to Whistler. The Bahama Beach vibes have been ditched for a warm vibrant atmosphere with snow-topped trees, open fire pits, live music, private lodges, and an ice rink! The ski-resort energy is definitely high, but if you’re looking for a little more privacy, their igloos and luxurious private lodges are also available. You can sip the night away, cosied up in soft faux furs. To fall into this dreamy winterland be sure you book your spot before the special’s end in August.

Winter’s not over yet! So make the most of the Apres-ski experience in true Brisbane style.
