March bucket list

We’re ready to march straight into autumn.

New month, new season, new food to devour and new drinks to sip on. Brisbane’s certainly the place to be this March…

SAINT-TROPEZ SUNSETS | CUSTOMS HOUSE

Custom House’s revolving pop-ups are always a highlight on our calendar, and we’re in awe of their new French Riviera-themed marvel! With a little help from Moët & Chandon, Saint-Tropez Sunsets will be held Fridays-Sundays from 3 pm on the terrace by the river, with stunning seafood bites, French wine and of course, champagne. Read up on it here!

WOMEN IN WALRUS | THE WALRUS CLUB

As one Shania Twain famously said, let’s go girls.

The Walrus Club (the moody speakeasy under The Regatta Hotel) is hosting an all-female bar takeover for International Women’s Day on Sunday, March 7. Expect signature cocktail competitions, live music, and stunning eats like Reubens with hot-smoked wagyu pastrami, lobster sliders, and pleeeeenty of charcuterie and cheese. Head here to read more about the event.

BISOU BISOU | HOTEL X, FORTITUDE VALLEY

We’ve recently said bonjour to the brand spanking new Bisou Bisou French restaurant nestled in Hotel X on Brunswick Street. From the brains behind Donna Chang, Byblos, Blackbird and the Boom Boom Room Izakaya, Bisou Bisou offers guests a Parisian dining experience with a menu that takes a contemporary approach to French cuisine. Discover more about the sultry spot here

BIANCA | FORTITUDE VALLEY

From the team that has blessed us with Agnes, Honto, and Same Same comes Bianca–opening later this month in Ada Lane off James Street.

We’ll drop more closer to the date but to give you something to satisfy the rumble, you can look forward to a light, bright Italian menu of snacks, antipasti, pastas, five mains, and an Italian-made Carpigiani soft-serve gelato machine churning the goods.

BOTTOMLESS LUNCH | AQUITAINE BRASSERIE

Aquitaine is extending its hugely popular bottomless lunches until the end of the month, with two courses and two hours of sips for $89, with dessert available for an extra $10. Take your pick from the divine selection of entrees, mains and desserts (smoked sous vide spatchcock and crème brûlée for us, please!) as you sip on French wines and Aussie beers by the Brissie river.

NOOSA EAT & DRINK’S AUTUMN FARE | NOOSA

South East foodies, we know you’ve been waiting for this one!

March 12–14 marks the return of Noosa Eat & Drink and their foodie program dubbed Autumn Fare. There will be four-course menus inspired by the best of the Sunshine State. There will be paella feasts and champagne lunches. We’ve rounded up our favourite picks of the program and how you can get in on the action right here.

Au revoir, February–we’re moving onto bigger and better things.
