The FIFA Women’s World Cup has all eyes drawn to Brisbane this week, and to commemorate the occasion the South Bank resident is partaking in the fun. The Emporium Hotel has launched two new limited-edition cocktails and a covetable dessert available from July 10 to August 20.
To cheer on our own, head to the Terrace Bar for some liquid gold made by cocktail whizz, Daniel Herberg. Grab a Matilda Cocktail for an irresistible blend of Aussie rum, passionfruit, vanilla, saffron and mint, served in a coconut-dipped glass to fit the occasion. But if you’re more of a shout-at-the-screen kinda fan, you’ll find more punch in the Cold Irish Coffee – Jameson whisky, Mr Black coffee liqueur, honey, muscovado sugar, filtered coffee and cream.
And as for this coveted dessert, you can bow your head to Executive Pastry Chef, Charith Arachchige at the Belle Epoque restaurant. Indulge in a macadamia chocolate caramel tart in soccer ball form. The enchanting delight is complete with a chocolate shell and green fondant grass with a core of salted caramel and milk chocolate cremeux. Umm… yes please!
