Fish Lane’s Going Red as Negroni Week Returns

Classic, simple and bitter: the best kind of drink.

The lush Fish Lane Arts Precinct will be painted red as Negroni Week returns once again from September 18 to 24. The lane’s myriad of bars and restaurants will band together to raise proceeds for Slow Food charity so you can indulge in the vibrant cocktail, delectable dishes and incredible events, knowing it’s all for a good cause!

On Saturday, September 23, negroni fans can stroll through the laneway and sample the classic cocktail on Fish Lane’s ‘Secret Handshake’ Trail. For $85, taste the skill of familiar faves like Bar Brutus, Chu The Phat, Julius and Maeve Wine Bar. Sip on classics or spins like Jasmine, Chocolate Orange or Jaffa Cake – yeah you heard us right! But if negroni isn’t really your jam, never fear as there are plenty of other scrumptious cocktails and bites to indulge in along the way…

Now, if you’d just like to sip and dine in the one place, the new kid on the laneway, Midtown, can fulfil that for you with their Negroni Week dinner on Thursday, September 21 for $89 per person. The feast features the delectable likes of mini lobster croissants, oysters and charcuterie, each paired with its appropriate negroni partner.

But if your wallets aren’t as deep as your appetite, head to Town Square for your taste of the classic at Bar Brutus’s free pop-up bar. Open from 5pm Thursday to Saturday, expect roaming entertainment, delicious cocktails and, of course, an exclusive menu of negronis.

You’ve never had a better excuse to sip negroni!
