The ultimate dining guide to this year’s Dine BNE City

A month-long dining festival? Count us in!

Dine BNE City is back for 2022, and this year’s event is set to be bigger and better than ever.

For the month of May, you can experience the very best of Brisbane City dining. The event is broken up into three main categories (Let’s Do Lunch, Supper Club and Bar Safari) with each category boasting a variety of exclusive offers as well as a few special one-off events.

From $25 lunches to Wine Walks, Whiskey Nights and more degustations than you could possibly imagine, you won’t be left feeling hungry at this year’s Dine BNE City event.

To help you plan your month, we’ve put together a list of highlights for this year’s festival – so get your skates on and lock in those reservations!

LET’S DO LUNCH

Weekday lunches have never looked so good, thanks to Dine BNE City’s ‘Let’s Do Lunch’ itinerary. Round up your colleagues and enjoy delicious offers at a host of the City’s best restaurants and bars, and make your weekday lunch hour your favourite hour.

Patina at Customs House

Nothing says lunch like an indulgent meal at Patina Customs House. For this year’s Dine BNE City festival, devour their 12-hour South Burnett pork belly, served with confit potatoes, peas, salsa verde, sugar snap and radish, complemented with a glass of Atè Pinot Grigio or Cabernet Sauvignon for $35.

Banc Brasserie

For $35, devour their duck leg confit served with heirloom beans, dijon, ribery, and duck vinaigrette, with a glass of either Louis Jadit Petit Chablis or Louis Jadot Gamay to match. It’ll be one of the best lunches you ever have, trust us.

P.S Banc Brasserie are also putting on an epic Four Pillars Gin Dinner on Wednesday 18th May. Tickets available here.

COPPA Spuntino

When the hunger pangs set in during the week, it’s hard to go past a bowl of pasta from COPPA. Stop by COPPA Spuntino during this year’s Dine BNE City and try one of their signature pastas while sipping on a beautifully paired wine for $35.

You won’t regret it.

Malt Dining

For those in a rush who need to satisfy their weekday burger cravings, Malt Dining’s $25 brisket burger with fries is a no brainer. But, if you’ve got time to take a seat, add on a glass of house wine or beer to top off your lunch.

Fat Noodle at Treasury Brisbane

A two-course lunch for $25pp at Fat Noodle? Yes please! Choose from mains including Kao Soi (chicken, egg noodles and crispy wontons served in an aromatic red curry broth) and chilli and basil pork belly served with steamed Jasmine rice, for an authentic Asian meal you won’t forget in a hurry.

DRINKS AND SHARE PLATES

Wet Deck at W Brisbane

If you’ve booked a staycation at W Brisbane for this year’s event (which, you absolutely should!), head on down to the Wet Deck for their Sea and Sparkle package. For $60 (shared between two), receive four lobster tacos and two glasses of Hentley Farm ‘Blanc De Noir’.

Even if you’re not staying at the W, their Sea and Sparkle offer is a great option for after work drinks or a romantic date night.

Walter’s Wine Bar

Fancy frites and fizz, oh my! Pop in to Walter’s Bar and take your pick from three of Walter’s frites for $38 including steak frites with sauce au poivre and duck frites with Cafe de Paris butter. To make your outing even more special, add on a glass of Taittinger champagne for $55.

Rothwell’s

Farewell the working day with an afternoon at Rothwell’s and enjoy their Dine BNE City special offer of six freshly shucked rock oysters, served with a glass of Perrier-Jouet Blason de France Rose champagne for $45.

After work drinks, sorted!

The Boom Boom Room

SEASONAL DEGUSTATIONS

Sake

As far as degustations go, Sake’s is up there with the best of the best. Delight in an exclusive seven-course osaka omakase degustation by head chef (and Osaka-born) Daisuke Sakai for $99pp, with a cocktail on arrival.

Jumbo Thai

A five-course degustation served with a glass of Prosecco for $65pp? Sign us up! Jumbo Thai’s set menu for this year’s festival showcases some of their most iconic dishes including their Massaman lamb shank curry, which is unbelievable, by the way.

If you love Thai food (how could you not?) you absolutely cannot miss this one.

Donna Chang

When it comes to degustations, no restaurant does them quite like Donna Chang. For this year’s Dine BNE City event, the team at Donna Chang has pulled out all the stops with their exclusive Petit Banquet. Indulge in the very best of Donna Chang with five courses and a drink for $65pp.

The Gresham x Walter’s Steakhouse
