Best new Winter Menu at KAZBA

Winter Is Coming to KAZBA with the Brissie hotspot dropping a new seasonal menu...

Known for bringing the vibrant nightlife of Tel Aviv to the Brisbane scene, KAZBA, the city’s buzziest bar, is moving its menu into a new season as it celebrates Winter.

As is customary in the kitchen, Chef Michael Jackson has consulted with local suppliers to utilise the best seasonal produce, assisting in enhancing the exotic Middle Eastern and North African flavours KAZBA has on offer.

Known for their signature line of stuffed pitas – which are perfect for a healthy lunch or dinner – Chef Jackson has updated the delicacies, with mushroom arayas with braised fable ragu, marinated eggplant, smoked cheese, cacik, umac onions and saffron rice sure to be a new winter warmer must.  The cheeseburger-stuffed pita made with bloom providore plant-based mince, a strong favourite for patrons, remains on the menu, assuring long-time fans that there’s still plenty of familiar comfort food on hand.

Another new must-try is the tomato salad with crispy pita, mint, red onion, olives, paprika and vinaigrette.  And for the dessert fans, the new halva chocolate mousse with salted caramel and poached pear is sure to satisfy that sweet tooth; that or KAZBA’s classic handmade rosewater Turkish delight.

For those that prefer to graze as they sip cocktails, the Mezze Plate offering is now an indulgence of Chef Jackson’s favourites: Felafel, hummus, marianted eggplant, crunchy veg, pickles, beetroot kibbeh & Za’atar and potato bread.

Speaking of cocktails, KAZBA hasn’t forgotten its true beginnings as a bar, nor looked past their cocktail list for the new season, with an all-new lineup of Middle Eastern-inspired drinks; all complete with that classic KAZBA twist.  The Sacred Smoke – a mystical blend inspired by ancient Saxon beliefs and the healing powers of herbs – brings Chamomile to the forefront of its flavour, with a blend of Ambleside No. 8 Gun, Regal Rogue Daring Dry, Lychee, Hibiscus, and Citrus; whilst Ode to Syrena plays homage to the mesmerising artistry of Syrena Nikole, one of the world’s most renowned belly dancers, with its blend of Marjoram Vodka, Pear, Regal Rogue Wild Rose, Pomegranate Orange Blossom, and Citrus.  Talk about a dance of flavour!

Of course, if KAZBA is all about the Tel Aviv nightlife, then it only makes sense that they bring the party vibes to the house, and Yalla Saturdays – hosted on the last Saturday of every month – will impress and entertain guests with three hours of flowing beverages, bountiful mezze and Persian dessert stations for only $69 per person.  Throw in KAZBA’s live DJ and you it’s not just the kitchen’s recipe that’s being served to success.

With both walk-in and bookings welcome (all details can be found at KAZBA’s official site), there’s no better time than to escape the ordinary and experience the exotic of KAZBA this Winter.
