It’s almost Mother’s Day, which means that it’s time to start planning the perfect way to say thank you to the number one lady in your life.
We’ve already covered the must-stop-spots for a magnificent Mother’s Day in Brisbane, so now, we thought that it’s time to share the love with our beach-bound friends down south.
Here’s our list of where we think you should spend Mother’s Day on the Gold Coast.
FREE-FLOWING ROSÉ & SPRITZERS | THE COLLECTIVE
We both know that mum hasn’t taken a proper day off in years. It’s up to you to drive her down to Palm Beach and treat her to a good old fashioned Sunday sesh at The Collective’s Blush Sundays. Mum won’t help but blush with three hours of non-stop rosé and spritzers whilst enjoying the beautiful beach views boasted by The Collective’s rooftop bar. She’s been your designated driver more times than you can count, it’s time to return the favour.
CHAMPAGNE HAPPY | OASIS BROADBEACH
If you’re spending Mother’s Day at the beach (and why else are you on the Gold Coast?) then head to Oasis Broadbeach when the sun goes down and treat her to a much-deserved Sunday dinner. Enjoy the coastal views and famous seafood at Beachside Pavilion or mouth-watering Yum Cha at Grand Dynasty. Both restaurants are offering mum a free glass of bubbly with her meal which sounds like the perfect way to cap off a relaxing day out on the coast… maybe bring some aloe vera too.
MOTHER’S DAY HIGH TEA | SKYPOINT AUSTRALIA
High Tea is a classic way to enjoy a relaxed and sophisticated Mother’s Day and we think we’ve found the HIGHEST high tea in town. Enjoy house-baked scones, savoury bites, seasonal fruits, decadent desserts, a glass of sparkling wine and bottomless tea and coffee, 230 meters above the ground at the SkyPoint Observation deck. Experience 360-degree views of the beach and hinterland atop the iconic Q1 whilst indulging in these high tea staples. Maybe ask mum how she feels about heights first.
FESTIVAL ON THE FARM | PARADISE COUNTRY
Okay, so it turns out that the Gold Coast has much more to offer than just sand and sunburn (I know; I was surprised too.) Break away from the beach and take mum for a poised picnic in the park at Paradise Country where this Mother’s Day, they’re hosting the Festival on the Farm. Enjoy a day of live music, activities with the kids and adorable animal exhibits, plus a free glass of wine for mum. Book a picnic hamper pack to receive entry into the festival, a cheese and antipasto platter, a bottle of wine, food and beverage vouchers and a fully stocked picnic basket.
SPA SESSIONS & HIGH TEA | RACV ROYAL PINES RESORT
You know that you caused your mum plenty of stress throughout your childhood (and, let’s face it, adulthood) and thankfully, RACV Royal Pines Resort has found a therapeutic way to say thanks. This Mother’s Day, pamper mum with Spa Sessions and High Tea at Royal Pines. Relax with an hour-long manicure and pedicure with their Nail Indulgence option or spend that time enjoying a facial and massage with the Express Relaxation experience. Either way, finish with delectable high tea in the serene Panorama Lounge.
MOTHER’S DAY LUNCH | HARRIGAN’S CALYPSO BAY
We’re sure that most mums would love to indulge in a massive buffet lunch but, unfortunately, raising kids is a full-time job – even on Mother’s Day. Luckily, Harrigan’s at Calypso Bay has a solution. They’re bringing a jumping castle and craft table to keep the kids busy while mum feasts the afternoon away while enjoying live music from Raku and the scenic surrounds of Calypso Bay. Enjoy mum, you’ve earned it!
It only comes once a year – maybe you can foot the bill this Mother’s Day, hey?
