New Brisbane breweries to check out these holidays

Hey there, hop stuff.

Grab your growler and get ready to check out Brisbane’s crispiest new breweries these holidays.

Valley Hops Brewing | Fortitude Valley

While Cloudland might be a pumping after-dark spot, its latest addition, Valley Hops Brewing, is more for the sundowner crowd! The brewhouse and rooftop bar is perched above the hustle and bustle of the Valley, serving up brews including their take on a pale ale, a mango and passionfruit sour, a herbal IPA, and loads more made. Pair your pint with a wood-fired pizza or grilled bite made for eating without cutlery—now that’s what we call (brew)pub grub!

Brewtide | Albion

The first venue to open in the expansive Craft’d Grounds precinct, Brewtide is a large-scale brewery that’s quickly established itself as a haven for beer-lovers! The 500-square-metre space is planned to allow an easy flow between the bar, dining and brewery areas, so it really feels like you’re immersed in the brewing experience among the 12 tanks. You can grab a bite from the kitchen while you’re there, and there’s also a jam-packed cellar (AKA bottle-o) featuring the work of over 50 breweries, so you can take some goodies home to continue your beer-xploration!

Ploughman | Enoggera

While it’s established a follwing in a couple of much-loved forms over in Alderley (at its now-shut former site) and Fortitude Valley, Ploughman is now brewing their own bevs from a tiny space in Enoggera. There’s a few seats outside, as well as a 35-seat tasting room upstairs, and four taps that’l be pouring an ever-changing selection of the goods brewed on site. Not living the beer-y life? There’s a feature red and white wine, as well as gin paddles and charcuterie boards for everyone to enjoy!

Parched | West End

Take a stroll to the sleepy side of West End to find this new spot making and serving the golden goods! Parched is open Wednesday-Sunday and pouring out beers from their converted warehouse space, including an Australian pale ale, IPA and an red ale, with a menu that local chef Gillian Hirst (the creator of the OG sand crab lasagne at Il Centro!) has consulted on. Grab a table by the tanks, sip back, and relax…

Revel Brewing Co | Morningside

A favourite of the Bulimba crowd, Revel Brewing moved down the road a couple of months ago to a stunning heritage location that was a lime factory in a former life. The red brick setting offers loads of outdoor seating, an extensive menu (yes, there;s still wodd-fired pizzas) and 20 beers on tap! Read more about Revel’s new location here.

Brb, cracking open a cold one.
