March into Margarita madness with Fish Lane and Espolòn Tequila

Calling all margy lovers, this is not one to miss!

Thanks to Espolòn Tequila, the spiciest collab of the year is taking place right in our backyard, at the beloved booze and bites hotspot aka Fish Lane – and it’s set to be a major sipping and savouring extravaganza.

March is truly the month of the marg so, obviously, Fish Lane Art’s Precinct venues are gearing up to spoil every marg lover (and foodie) in Brisbane with their newest boozy event, March into Margarita! There’s nothing we love more than when great minds join forces, and this celebration is exactly that, with plenty of local cult favourites like Southside, Bar Brutus and Saccharomyces shaking things up to give us a variety of new tipples, with Espolòn Tequila at the heart of all the booze-filled festivities. So, why not use this as the perfect excuse to gather the girls for a drink or try out a new Brissie watering-hole?

Margs-A-Million | Sunday, March 3

Feel like a million bucks when you wine and dine (or rather marg and dine) with Southside Restaurant at Margs-A-Million festival. Indulge in their creative selection of cocktails and explore something a little spicier than their usual pan-Asian plate, with Benny Lam and his team of chefs working their magic with West End staple Mama Taco to create a one-off collaborative festival food pop-up for the day. Bringing us all things margs and tacos with sessions available at 12 pm and 2 pm, a $49 per person ticket will get you entry into the festival and two tipples of your choice.

The Margarita Edit | Thursday, March 7

If you haven’t had a chance already, we can’t recommend enough paying a visit to the newest, exceptionally intimate spot in the laneway, Midtown Bar. Indulge in their affectionate affair for marg lovers, and snack on their array of delectable small plates paired with salty-rimmed specials. The Margarita Edit is curated to perfection, with our eyes already staring down their spiced lychee margarita. Tickets are extremely limited, so get in quick to get a taste.

Agave Afternoons | Every Friday & Saturday

Hello Please is keeping it consistent in March with their margarita specials available twice a week all month long, to give you plenty of chances to gather the crew and pop in for a tipple. Every Friday and Saturday in March, the team will be serving up $15 margs and 2 for $18 fish tacos. If that’s not enticing enough, their brand-new al fresco dining footpath seating area is the perfect spot for idle talk, titbits and tequila-filled tipples.

Phat Phiesta | Thursday, March 21

To round out the marg-elous event, Chu the Phat are popping out into the laneway and putting on an unmissable last treat. Expect a fusion of their iconic, Asian eats with Espolòn Tequila-infused treats, and the highlight: an entirely new selection of cocktails and dishes to indulge in. Entry is free, but with spicy food, margs and live music, get organising with the group chat ASAP as bookings are sure to fill up fast.

So, will your marg be sweet, spicy or sour? Find out more here.
