James Street Food & Wine Trail is taking over the streets for a ninth year

This epicurean event will leave you begging for more (even after four days of eating)!

The annual James Street Food & Wine Trail will return from Thursday, July 29 with a gourmet four-day feast featuring unique dining experiences and the ever-popular Market Day on Sunday, August 1.

Kicking off the countdown to the main event, chef Alanna Sapwell will deliver a fish-focussed edition of Snacks & Facts in partnership with Jocelyn’s Provisions and CRU Bar + Cellar. Guests will be educated about choosing sustainable options when consuming seafood, enjoy snacks and hand-selected beverages, and even leave with a gift box! This event begins at 6 pm and is priced at $220 per person—bookings can be made here.

The following night, The Green will host a Middle-Eastern inspired feast with fresh local produce and matched wines in their greenhouse-turned-kitchen. Bookings can be made here, and the event begins at 6:30 pm.

On Sunday, August 1, join PJ McMillan and the Harveys Bar + Bistro for lunch with two or three courses of McMillan’s signature cuisine, showcasing his love for local ingredients with a glass of Louis Roederer Brut Premier on arrival from 12 pm. Bookings can be made by calling (07) 3852 3700.

Saving yourself for the grand finale? Market Day will return from 10 am on Sunday with gourmet grazing including pop-up stalls from the precinct’s popular bars and eateries, as well as live entertainment. The stalls will be offering plates like chargrilled lamb ribs from Hellenika and gelato bars from Messina, as well as drinks including the Hard Fizz seltzer from Sixes and Sevens. For those who cannot wait to get a taste of Market Day, the menu can be viewed here!

With many decadent food options to discover, James Street Food & Wine Trail is not to be missed.
