Where to dip into fondue in Brisbane this winter

As far as winter dining goes, we reckon fondue takes the cake!

Whether you’re a proponent of chocolate or cheese, there’s no denying that fondue is the ultimate winter indulgence.

We’ve gathered the best spots to dip into a steaming pot of fondue this winter in Brisbane—just, whatever you do, please blow on it a little before scoffing… #burntbylove

Winter Lodge at Riverbar and Kitchen | CBD

This riverside pop-up is bringing some Euro chalet vibes to the Brown Snake, with 4 Pines brews, Aperol cocktails, and a dedicated menu of winter warmers available from July 15 to August 31! Our peepers are on the 4 Pines-infused fondue, served up with all the classics for dipping like potatoes, gherkins, sausage, vegetables, and toasted sourdough.

La Valle | Fortitude Valley

Get in quick, cheese lovers! This cute Valley wine bar is hosting wine and fondue sessions on Sunday, July 25 and Sunday, August 22! For just $39 you’ll be treated to two hours of wine and a TEN-CHEESE fondue (yep: mozzarella, Parmigiano, pecorino, Manchego, Asiago, Montasio, brie, camembert, stracciatella and gruyere, count ’em!). Learn more and book in here.

LIVING ROOM BAR AT W BRISBANE | CBD

Submit yourself to absolute decadence with the return of the Living Room Bar’s Dip It – Dip It Real Good. From July 15, experience a luxe twist on classic fondue with a divine pot of melted Valrhona milk chocolate accompanied by all the dippers your heart desires including strawberries, bananas, churros and macarons! This tasty treat is $59 for two people and is available until August 29. Book your spot here today.

Belle Epoque at Emporium Hotel | South Bank

For a little bit of *romance*, a Fondue for Two at Belle Epoque sounds like a dream! Available between 11:30 and 3 pm daily, there’s a Valhrona chocolate option (served with house-made cookies, raspberry and passionfruit marshmallows, chocolate brownie and seasonal fruit) or a cheesy boy (rich gruyère and smoked cheddar fondue with crusty bread, parmesan cheese straws and a selection of crudities) to satisfy both ends of the fondue spectrum.

Harajuku Gyoza | South Bank and CBD

It may not be traditional, but can you name a better combo than melted cheese and fried chicken? This tasty combo features charcoal chicken served with a bubbling pot of melty cheese for dipping and, frankly, we can’t imagine anything we’d rather pair with frosty Japanese beers and dumplings.

Cowch | South Bank and Chermside

You’re spoiled for choice at Cowch (and just plain spoiled…), so we can vouch for the Fondmoo, with strawberries, toasted marshmallows, brownie bites and waffle pieces served with melted milk, white or dark choc for dipping to make decision-making easier!

So, how do you ‘due?
