Epic Eats by the Bay: Why Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival Is the Ultimate Brisbane Escape

The Ultimate Foodie Escape: Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival Returns this August

Looking for the perfect winter escape that’s just a short drive from Brisbane but feels like a full-blown getaway? The 2025 Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival is back from 22–24 August, and it’s shaping up to be one of South-East Queensland’s most mouth-watering events of the year.

Sprawling across 1km of Moreton Bay’s stunning waterfront, this three-day foodie fest serves up a jam-packed lineup of flavour, flair, and fun. Whether you’re in for a breezy day trip or want to settle in for a full weekend of indulgence, this is one event that deserves a firm spot on your calendar.

You’ll find over 180 exhibitors across the festival precinct, offering everything from small-batch cheeses, artisan sweets and gourmet condiments to award-winning wines, craft spirits, and top-tier street food. The Cellar Door will have you sipping your way through more than 20 wineries, while The MarketPlace is a treasure trove for local produce lovers.

The festival’s chef lineup is stacked with big names — think Miguel Maestre, Julie Goodwin, Matt Golinski, Mike Reid, and MKR winners Simone & Viviana. Catch them in action on one of three demonstration stages, or go all in with chef-hosted long lunches, hands-on pasta workshops, cheese and wine masterclasses, or even a Japanese matcha ceremony.

New for 2025 is The Oasis Club — a luxe 18+ VIP precinct featuring waterfront lounges, daily wine tastings with expert Nick Ryan, and exclusive pop-up dining from Brisbane faves like Donna Chang, Tempest, and Byblós. If you’re after a touch of indulgence, this is the place to be.

With more than 100 curated events and three music stages buzzing all weekend, there’s plenty to explore between bites. Think: food, wine, views, and good vibes… all just an hour from the city.

Tickets range from $30 to $129, and with this much on offer, you’ll want to book early. Tickets are on sale now at moretonbayfoodandwine.com.au.
