Brisbane’s best coffee shops

Forget water, at this point, our bodies are 80% caffeine.

As much as we love our avo toast, pancakes and freshly-baked muffins, might we point you towards our Brisbane breakfast bucket list if that’s what you’re chasing? This one’s all about Brisbane’s best spots to grab a brew—food optional!

INDUSTRY BEANS | NEWSTEAD

Spread across an incredible 700 square metres, Australia’s fourth Industry Beans was brothers Trevor and Steve Simmons’ most ambitious project to date. Josie North | Toowong

“Phenomenal”, “sensational”, “best coffee”; don’t just take it from us, take it from their reviews–Josie North has it going on. Masterfully-made coffee, lots of plants (plant-mum goals!) and good chat about the beans you’re enjoying (they offer a wide range to enjoy in or take home) is all part of the experience.

Coffee Anthology | CBD

If coffee is an art form then Coffee Anthology is da Vinci! With every visit to this inner-city joint sippers have the chance to experience a range of coffee roasters, profiles, and brew methods extracted to perfection by the award-winning barista team. Padre Coffee stands proud as the house blend, but you can expect a rotating array of beans from Australia’s top roasters.

VENEZIANO COFFEE ROASTERS | WEST END

Situated on the always-busy Montague Road, West Enders kickstart their days with incredible coffee at roastery café, Veneziano Coffee Roasters. Deedot Coffee House | Holland Park

Cute name, cuter interior–Deedot has it all. While there is an extensive breaky menu, don’t be fooled into thinking the coffee is second-rate! These guys serve up the fun and fruity Roast by Yili in serious style.

Dovetail on Overend | Norman Park

Donut even get us started on Dovetail on Overend. We could talk for hours about their house-made donuts, but their coffees, made on Almanac Coffee beans, do all the talking themselves.
