Brisbane’s tastiest cheap eats

Because your pockets don’t need to be empty for your tum to be full.

This one’s for all the savvy foodies out there! Whether you’re saving up for a Euro-summer getaway or your next payday isn’t for a little while, we’ve rounded up our favourite cheap eats so you can treat yourself without breaking the bank.

favourite cheap eats so you can treat yourself without breaking the bank.

FRITZENBURGER

We are big fans of Fritzenberger and their tasty offerings. Heck, they even made our roundup of Brisbane’s best burgers. The team at Fritzenberger has a slew of deals on offer which gives us yet another reason to get our weekly Fritzen-fix. We’re talking $12 burgers every Monday, 2-for-1 burgers on Tuesdays and $1 wings on Wednesdays!

HARAJUKU GYOZA

Got a pocketful of gold coins? Here, we’ll turn that into a pocketful of sunshine for you!

To cure your perpetual Mondayitis, the heroes at Harajuku Gyoza are offering two for one gyoza plates on Mondays and Tuesdays and $15 bowls on Wednesdays and Thursdays before 3pm!  Munch on morsels like grilled duck gyoza with spicy vinegar to start your week and push through hump day while slurping on some udon. It’s a win-win.

CHU THE PHAT

If you’re anything like us, you get overwhelmed when looking at menus because you just want EVERYTHING.

Chu the Phat is helping us (and our bank balances) out, with their Super Sundays banquet available for $75. Noone’s leaving hungry with everything from wagyu dumplings, spring rolls and steamed duck buns to stir-fried pork belly, fried chicken ribs, steamed greens, and steamed rice. Not to mention two hours of beer, wine, and Aperol spritzes. Now that’s a mouthful.

SPREAD

If you’re looking for something that feels straight from nonna’s kitchen – minus the constant analysis of whether you’ve eaten enough (never) – we have the perfect place for you. They’ve got all your fave pizzas (for a whopping $18 every Tuesday night) including capricciosa, margherita and salumi with more decadent options like honey and garlic, or truffle. There’s even kids options like ham and cheese pizza or napoli pasta for $12. Now that’s amore.

BISOU BISOU

Who said cheap couldn’t also be chic? Head to Brunswick street during the week for $25 dollar lunch specials from 11:30 – 5pm. With a main and drink included, chow down on some tender steak frites, creamy parisian gnocchi or wholesome vegan bowl. The perfect spot for a cheeky lunchtime escape!

THE BOUNDARY HOTEL

This iconic West End watering hole is here if you need a midweek pick me up or a cheeky weekend for 2025 (just like your favourite ex). They’ve got two for one pizzas on Tuesdays and bottomless brunches every Saturday from 12 – 2pm for $79. Sign. Us. Up.

Now that’s livin’ Barry.
