How is it already July? It feels like we only just put away the Christmas tree and finished off those last few Easter eggs. Whether you’re looking for school holiday plans for the kids, uni holiday plans for the bigger kids, or something fun to do for the kids at heart, there’s plenty on this month to devour.

James St Food + Wine Trail | July 27 to July 30

Spend the weekend under the shade of James Street’s gorgeous fig trees as you sample food from the annual James Street Food + Wine Trail. Bring your best foodie friends to sample the best of what James Street can fill your belly with! With a Lebanese pizza party by Gerard’s Bar, premium pop-up bars and top quality street food abounding at the massive line up of stalls, no one will be going home hungry after this tasty event.

WINTER BLACK TRUFFLE DINNER AT MONTRACHET | July 27

It’s truffle season at Montrachet! For a limited time only, there will be a daily truffle special and the option to add truffle to your fave dish (truffle soufflè anyone?) To celebrate Montrachet chef Shannon Kellam and his new ambassador role at Truffle Hill, a Winter Black Truffle dinner will be held on July 27 for a night of carefully selected wine and truffle-infused delicacies. Spots are almost full for this one though, so book soon. The truffle fiesta doesn’t stop there though! Montrachet is also hosting a four-course private dining experience where the premium WA truffles and wines will take you on a different sensory journey in each course. Il Tartufo Truffle Dinner at Settimo | Thursday, July 6

Get ready to indulge in a sensational winter extravaganza at Settimo as they showcase the local truffle season in all its glory! Prepare for a tantalising five-course truffle feast curated by the legendary Guy Grossi, complemented by the exquisite wines of Vasse Felix. Featuring shared tables arranged family-style, you’ll have the chance to mingle with both old and new friends for an exclusive evening.

Riverside Live at Blackbird | Every Thursday

Thursday is the new weekend, so send off the week that was with live music, incredible views and expertly curated sips. With cocktails like the Sour of Power, Naked Highball and Riverside Colada – all for $15 or less for three hours?? – you can call us intrigued. Expect a rotating roster of talented musicians prepared to serenade the night away from 5pm.

Non Voyage at One Fish Two Fish | Till July 30

Instead of a jet-setting European adventure, have yourself an epicurean adventure at Kangaroo Point’s very own boujee fish and chip restaurant. One Fish Two Fish is serving up a four-course feast and bloody good Aperol spritzes for just $79pp till July 30. Say arrivederci to the plane ticket and ciao to Northern Rivers bay lobster risotto, grilled goldband snapper with Amalfi salad, and sorbetto al limone with lemon curd.

Bladnoch Whisky Dinner at Izakaya Publico | Thursday, July 13

While whisky and delicate Japanese cuisine seem like an odd combination, those with an advanced palette can already imagine sipping the smooth and bitter liquid to wash down seared Hokkaido scallops, succulent wagyu and sweet almond tofu. Since opening in November 2022, Izakaya Publico is certainly pushing the bounds of culinary creativity with its Scottish and Japanese fusion dinner, and we can’t wait to taste its four-course feast.

Nightfall & Neon at Riverbar & Kitchen | Till July 30

As the sun bids adieu, Riverbar & Kitchen is transforming into a vibrant and electrifying wonderland with plenty of Bombay Sapphire cocktails to light up your night. Running all the way till July 30, Riverbar is making the most of the long winter nights with plenty of reasons to stay up late – expect mesmerising live entertainment, fiery winter warmers and neon-grammable moments.

Wintertide Wonderland Twilight Markets | Saturday, July 15

Experience European winter from the warmer – and much closer – Carseldine Markets on July 15! Step inside the wonderland and stroll through rows of artisanal stalls amongst roving performers with the scent of seasonal eats to make you drool. There’ll even be an alps-themed pop-up bar serving traditional glühwein and schnapps to warm you up from the inside out. Prost!

Veuve Clicquot In The Snow at Customs House

Customs House’s beloved igloos are fast becoming a regular instalment in Brisbane’s foodie calendar. This winter paradise will see you sipping and savouring Veuve Clicquot champagne (either by the glass or bottle) in cosy Aspen-themed igloos styled with luxe faux furs, complete with a dazzling view of Brisbane’s iconic Story Bridge.

Apres Ski at King St | Till July 30

How would we sum up Apres Ski? Cosy, drool-worthy and the perfect French Alps experience right here in Brisbane. Pick out your winter treat from one of the many eateries and settle in amongst lush fur cushions and fluffy blankets – you’ll catch us with a mulled wine from Il Verde this weekend.
