Best of Chermside

You know there’s more to Chermside than just a giant shopping centre, right?

A hub of delight for foodies and fun-seekers, Chermside has more than cemented its reputation as the go-to suburb for those craving what only the great North can offer.

Casa Cibo | Westfield Chermside

Located within Chermside’s newest dining precinct, Casa Cibo will transport you to the banks of Italy as this lush, two-storey restaurant settles diners in for an authentic, family-inspired feast. From their wood-fired pizzas, classic pasta dishes, and such desserts as chocolate fondant and tiramisu, you’ll want this Casa to be your casa.

Sasquatch Bar | 763 Gympie Road

Chermside’s debut in the craft beer game, Sasquatch was the suburb’s first ever craft bar. Bringing in a touch of Canadian charm, this Northside bar serves up fine brews amongst Trivia Tuesdays, Wing It Wednesdays and your cure for the curd drought every day with their iconic poutine servings.

Dark Tonic Roasters | 18 Corrie Street

This small family-owned roastery claims that coffee is their medicine. Well, someone call the doctor because you’re all about to be cured! Not only can you relax with a mug of matcha latte or dirty chai, but their post-workout smoothies, iced drinks and frappes, and all day breakfast menu means there’s never a bad time of day to give into the Dark-ness.

El Camino Cantina | Westfield Chermside

Filled to the brim with Tex-Mex classics, such as fresh chargrilled fajitas, crumbed button mushroom tacos and ground beef burritos, you’ll be fanging for a fiesta the moment you walk through El Camino’s electric-coloured doors. Oh, and you really didn’t think we’d be forgetting to mention their margaritas, did you?

Hijinx Hotel | Cnr Gympie & Hamilton Roads

Escape rooms are soooo 2020 – this year is all about the challenge. An immersive, interactive experience that’s all about how you play and not where you stay, this is a hotel with a difference. Leave your bags, but bring your brainpower as you work through a collection of five different challenge rooms that’ll excite the young and the young at heart. Rubik’s cubes, musical games, and even a tetris-themed room, this Chermside-set abode is the perfect escape from your own staycation.

Hong Kong Lane | Laneway Outdoor Precinct, Westfield Chermside

At this fusion laneway of Hong Kong and Asian-inspired food, set amongst nostalgic Hong Kong neon signs, you’ll be treated to hand-made dumplings, wonton egg noodle soup, and Hokkien fried rice as you browse through this outdoor/indoor dining experience that takes you far away from Brisbane.

Kingpin | Westfield Chermside

Fancy striking out? Trust us, it’s a good thing, and Ten-Pin bowling is just one of the many fun and games you’ll be able to take part in at Chermside’s coolest hangout.  Love some laser tag? Aching for an arcade? Or are you totally into table tennis? Whatever your delight, Kingpin has you covered.  Oh, and did we mention DJ kiosks where you can control the tunes and have a fully licensed bar at the ready?  What are you waiting for? Head to Kingpin to be treated like true royalty.
