Cash in for summer dining at the city's newest restaurant, Banc Brasserie

Step inside the grand, heritage facade of the former Bank of New South Wales building on the corner of Queen and George Street to discover lofty ceilings, classic bistro dining, and Euro wines worth settling in for!

Banc Brasserie is a nod to the classic European bistro experience, with a tight menu (broken into canapés, entrées, mains, sides and desserts) offering a versatile experience for the top end of the CBD.

Start with golden gougeres and duck parfait with brioche before moving on to steak frites, lobster mafaldine or coral trout with a citrus salad, or opt to share (if you dare!) a whole steamed and fried duck or dry-aged sirloin on the bone.

Come dessert, classics like buttermilk panna cotta with lemon verbena, Geraldton wax and white peach or crème brûlée are on offer alongside a selection of cheeses (it’s almost like the post-lunch dilemma in Paris…).

The dining room is warmed up with wooden and velvet elements contrasting against the contemporary chandeliers in the bar space, while the bar itself offers limited bentwood seating for those seeking a quick bite with a glass from the extensive list.

Banc is now open from 11:30 am to late, Monday-Saturday at 33 Queen Street, Brisbane City—see the full menu and make your booking here!
