A sneak peak into Brisbane’s soon-to-be-hub of hospitality & entertainment: The Star Brisbane

Opulence awaits...

As the glistening $3.6 billion Queen’s Wharf Precinct steadily transforms the Brisbane skyline, The Star Brisbane – “The entertainment hub of the Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct which will transform Brisbane as we know it,” as stated by The Star Brisbane’s Chief Operating Officer, Kelvin Dodt – has unveiled an exclusive first snapshot as to what’s inside.

Staged for an April 2024 opening, The Star Brisbane will be a 12-hectare precinct featuring 50 new venues and experiences; including The Star Grand hotel, a sprawling Sports Bar, Brisbane’s largest hotel ballroom, and a large selection of dining options. The Star Grand will be Brisbane’s newest hotel and will serve as the heart of the resort. Promising 5-star luxury, there will be 340 rooms on offer, all overlooking the Brisbane River.

Hotel guests will have exclusive access to three stunning pools on the resort’s Leisure Deck, a 12,000sqm open-air oasis which delivers two football fields of public space, plus direct access to The Star Brisbane’s striking showpiece Sky Deck, a 250m rooftop runway of restaurants and bars floating 100m above the Brisbane River.

Amongst the culinary delights set atop Brisbane’s most luxe address is Fat Noodle, Luke Nguyen’s signature South-East Asian restaurant, which will be reimagined with a brand new venue, complete with fresh flavours and increased capacity.

“Brisbane is on the precipice of being the next foodie capital of Australia; the food offerings, the art and culture, and tourism is growing, and the city is making a name for itself in its own right. There’s an undeniable buzz about town that is only going to be supercharged by the opening of The Star Brisbane next year,” Nguyen said.

Alongside Fat Noodle, The Star Brisbane will please the palates of its visitors with a spectacular 732sqm Sports Bar; the city’s premier venue to celebrate the world’s biggest matches, races and games – and it’s endorsed by the Brisbane Broncos to boot!

Also confirmed is The Star’s signature cocktail bar Cherry – a chic companion to The Star’s popular Sydney and Gold Coast venues of the same name – which will reflect the atmosphere and energy of its central location within the resort, offering a vibrant and bold 360-degree bar to enjoy a cheeky mix of cool cocktails and the surrounding sights.

With a Food Quarter set for an emphasis on fresh food and fast service for the estimated 1.4 million visitors, this beautifully curated landscape is expected to attract each year, as well as a purpose-designed Events Centre, which is set to become the booking destination for the city’s most anticipated events, The Star Brisbane will truly light the way for all to follow.
