After enjoying five successful years by the water in South Bank Parklands, Stokehouse Q are celebrating with a special 5th anniversary themed dessert.  Head Chef, Matt Wood has created a cake to suit both the old and new world anniversary gifts (wood and silver) featuring smoked dark chocolate ganache, rice crispy biscuit, wattleseed mousse and silver chocolate bark. The extravagant anniversary treat is available until the end of November.

DINNER UNDER THE STARS | SECRET FOODIES | 7-10PM | $85
Join the Secret Foodies for a unique dinner with the Brisbane skyline as the backdrop and a blanket of stars above you. For $85pp you’ll be treated to a cocktail and canapé on arrival, followed a three-course meal with a focus on quality, seasonal produce and home-cooked classics, and wines matched to each of the dishes. EATS & BEATS CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL | ROTARY PARK | JIMBOOMBA | 5-9PM
Mixing pop up food trucks and stalls with music and a dash of traditional Christmas festivities and decorations, the Eats & Beats festival will offer plenty of Christmas carols, and a special visit from Santa Claus will all get you in the mood for the most joyful time of year. The star on the top of the tree is that entry is completely free!  So, go on, give yourself an early Christmas present and head to the Eats & Beats Christmas Festival, popping up every Friday evening for the next 5 weeks. Fresh from a trip to Texas, Brisbane’s favourite BBQers are back and ready to up their barbecue game! The Smokehouse platter will be the star of the night, featuring slices of smoked beef brisket, sweet pecan fed pork shoulder, jalapeño and cheddar sausage and tender slices of smoked turkey breast. Platters are $31 plus booking fee and can be bought here, or for $35 on the night, along with ice cold drinks.

It’s time to shake those hips and samba because the Brazilian Music Festival is coming to Brisbane! The festival will host numerous local and international performers playing a diverse range of Brazilian music rhythms. After you’ve danced up a fiery storm, grab a little (or large) bite to eat from any of the traditional Brazilian food and drink stalls that will be serving mouth watering food options and exotic and refreshing Brazilian drinks and cocktails. It doesn’t get any fresher than this! Take a tour of local farm Not.Waste before tasting the results of their sustainable growing practices. After a trip to the farm, Merriweather’s head chef Jarrod Huey will host conversations over the evening meal as you learn the benefits of fresh food production with minimal wastage. Over the meal, you’ll have a chance to ask Jarrod and Not.Waste’s farmers some informal questions about their food philosophy. POP UP BRINNER NIGHT | LITTLE CLIVE | ANNERLEY | 5:30-9PM
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and it’s also by far our favourite, which is why we’re so excited about Little Clive’s Breakfast for Dinner night. No, we’re not talking about cereal at 7pm because you can’t be bothered cooking, this is all about your favourite morning classics with an evening twist, paired with mimosas and Bloody Marys. OYSTER FESTIVAL | GREEN BEACON BREWING | 12-10PM
Ready to get shellfish? The fourth annual Oyster Festival will be all about mixed half and full dozen oyster specials and fresh seafood platters to share with mates, along with freshly tapped oyster stout. And you don’t have to stop at shellfish – Phunky Dory Food Truck will also be around from 4:30pm, dishing up fresh Australian fish and chips, calamari and salt and pepper prawns.
SABO SUNDAY SESH | SABOTAGE SOCIAL | Fortitude Valley | 12-11PM
Popular Valley bar, Sabotage Social, have brought together Holgate Brewhouse and The Smoke BBQ for a Sunday filled with meat, beer and music. Taste some of the best beers around from the Victorian-based Holgate Brewhouse while The Smoke BBQ, who have already proven they have chops when it comes to meat with their successful New Farm store, will be plating up some of their most delicious meats on the day. There will also be plenty of music with The Gutterbirds playing their hilarious and awesome mash up covers of Soho, Jay Z, Snoop & more.
