What to eat and drink this weekend in Brisbane

It’s that time again!

It may not be a long weekend, but that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate this one in style.

EAT ME

Gourmet | High tea at The Inchcolm By Ovolo | Spring Hill

You can’t get more sophisticated than a classical high tea. For $69pp, daintily nibble on (or dig right in) to tiered trays of finger sandwiches, canapes including Yarra Valley caviar crumpets and confit duck leg pithivier, and scrummy little treats such as madeleines, macarons and more!

Wash it all down with a glass of Taittinger champagne and bottomless barista crafted tea and coffee.

Hot tip:  Upgrade your high tea with bottomless champagne for $99pp!

Gourmand | A scoop (or three!) of gelato from Anita Gelato | West End

Fresh from serving up spectacular scoops at Brisbane Ice Cream Festival, Anita Gelato really should be the name (and gelato) on everybody’s lips.

Head on over to West Village for a delicious dessert, mid-afternoon snack or simply to satisfy your sweet tooth. From refreshing sorbets to indulgent ice creams and frozen yoghurts there’s a scoop (or three) for everyone!

Hot tip: Give cappuccino with butter cookies a whirl, or dark chocolate for our Vegan friends.

DRINK ME

Gourmet | ‘That’s Gucci’ cocktail from Stratton Bar & Kitchen | Newstead

It’s one of Brisbane’s newest venues, and they’re pouring the most fashionable cocktail in town. Doesn’t matter if you’ve only ever dreamt of Gucci, feel like you’ve entered the house itself with Stratton Bar & Kitchen’s tangy cocktail made with malfy orange gin, licor 43 liqueur, passionfruit, orange, pineapple, lime and lemonade. Zesty!

Hot tip: Ask the team for their food recs, they know their stuff!

Gourmand | Earl Grey Bubble Tea Latte from Milksha | Albert Street, CBD

What do you get when you cross one of Australia’s most popular hot teas with Melbourne’s best bubble tea joint? Tea. Heaven. This drink and Milksha have been taking Melbourne by storm, and we know all you Brisbanites will love it just as matcha.

Hot tip: Add honey pearls to your latte – just do it.
