Taste truffle paradise at Treasury Brisbane’s Black Hide this season

When it comes to seasonal dining in winter, one ingredient pips the rest: truffles!

To celebrate another bumper harvest of Aussie truffles, Black Hide by Gambaro at Treasury Brisbane is serving a decadent truffle degustation menu that is taking gourmet seasonal dining to the limits.

The five-course menu is available for $199pp until August 31, with the first course of grilled oysters served with lobster bisque and a truffle pangrattato setting an indulgent precedent for the rest of the menu. Truffle-cured carpaccio with anchovy custard and pecorino, fried gnocchi with chestnut cream and confit garlic, and Wagyu sirloin with celeriac and speck mac ‘n’ cheese and truffle butter follow… anyone else literally drooling?

It wouldn’t be a chef’s menu without dessert, so head chef Tom Mumford is serving up a white chocolate panna cotta with black truffle and sesame ice cream, meringue and truffled chocolate for one seriously stellar finish. Optional wine pairing is also available for $99pp, just in case you needed a little more luxury!

You can also add fresh black truffle, shaved at the table, to any item on the Black Hide menu for a very wallet-friendly $8 per gram while the degustation is on offer! Truffle on your pumpkin agnolotti? Truffle on your hand-cut chips? Truffle on your Basque cheesecake? Our hearts are beating just at the thought…

Just to ruffle your truffle senses even more, a special cocktail christened the Fun Gui made with Tanqueray, fresh lemon juice, truffle honey and a shaved truffle garnish is also available alongside the top-notch bar offering.

You can see Black Hide’s full truffle degustation menu and wine pairings and book in here. Be sure to book your truffle experience before the season ends on Tuesday, August 31!
