Why we have major heart eyes for Farm House Kedron

It might be less than a year old, but Farm House Kedron has already ditched the training wheels. Open seven days, boasting an all-day breakfast menu (tick, tick, tick) and an adorable backstory, this north side café has stolen our heart. And with a new lunch menu that we can’t stop raving about, we’ve put together our five fave things about Farm House Kedron.
  1.  IT’S TOO DAMN CUTE

The super quaint old farm house (name check!) is perfect for lazy brunch and lunchin’. Super rustic (so hot right now), Farm House is decorated with herb gardens, pot plants and wooden interiors that are seriously making us want to move in. River Cottage eat your heart out.

  1. COMMUNITY COMES FIRST

Not just cute on the outside, Farm House also has a heart of gold. Built on the grounds of a much-loved family owned produce store, Farmer Joes, Farm House keep the community dream alive, supporting local and regional producer and farmers. We just wanna squeeze them!

  1. THEY’RE MIXING IT UP

All about keeping it real, keepin’ it hip and freshhhh, Farm House has launched a new lunch menu. Full of super tasty dishes including soft smoky spiced BBQ pork tacos with chipotle slaw, corned beef toasties and crispy corn fritters, the real stand out is the Ploughman’s Platter. Cheddar, Barambah marinated fetta, house pickles, free range eggs, pickled onions, charcuterie meats and fresh Boundary Road breads. Hnnnnnnnnng. It’s meant for two but let’s be real – we ain’t sharin’!

  1. HERBIVORES REJOICE

Veggie lovers rejoice! Farm House has heard your cries for an option that isn’t just wilted lettuce, and their menu is chockers with choices. Be bowled over by the Farmhouse summer bowl with field mushrooms, avocado (in this economy?!), hommus, saffron rice and savoury granola – or get stuck into the garden platter with cheeses, mushrooms, semi-dried tomato, beetroot hummus and fresh, fresh bread baby. Carb me up!

  1. BYO – ENOUGH SAID

Because a platter calls for at least one bottle of vino (each),  you can BYO to Farm House Kedron every day of the week. Like you needed more reason to love them? We could rave about this northern nook until the cows come home, but we’ll let you see for yourselves!
