And while we have no regrets, get ready to rejoice guys because no longer do we have to go over the hill and far away to get our fix; Three Blue Ducks heard your quack, quack, quacks and are opening a fourth restaurant – this time in Brisbane!
Alas, while this addition to the Blue Ducks family won’t have actual ducks roaming around the premise (that perk will continue to lie with Byron Bay’s location only), this soon-to-be signature restaurant will be equally charming once it makes its home in the sleek W Hotel, the city’s latest five-star guesthouse.
Diners can expect a relaxing rustic setting (think open kitchen and a charcoal pit) where you can have breakfast, lunch, or dinner while overlooking the Brisbane River. Also migrating north with the new restaurant are old-time favourite meals like the scrumptious spanner crab dish with green mango, cashews and sriracha, not to mention their Moreton Bay bugs and fresh oysters.
Set to debut in April amongst the other spoils that W Hotel has to offer, including a pool bar and several modern restaurants, don’t forget to intro-duck yourself when it opens!
