Getting looser at Noosa requires a gorgeous resort to call home for the weekend, and our pick of the bunch is Sofitel Noosa. Located in the heart of the action on Hasting Street, Sofitel is super chic and the perfect base for your foodie adventures. Once the luggage is stowed away, set your sights on a Noosa classic: Bistro C. Boasting a view that will make you want to pack up and move to the coast STAT is this absolute treasure trove, whose breakfast options are particularly bang on. Think of local favourites like sticky BBQ pork, spring onion and rice noodle omelettes, and toasted carrot and chia seed bagels with smoked salmon, eggy remoulade, edamame and flatbread.
After coasting through some of the best waterside activities Noosa has to offer (kayak tour up the river, anyone?), it’s time to hit the shore for a quick midday feast. And what better place than Land & Sea?
Having washed up in Noosa in 2017, Land & Sea is already making a huge splash with the locals. Using locally sourced ingredients, their love for all things coastal shines through. Their signature beer, ‘Coastie Common,’ is their take on a classic lager and is perfect for those hot coast days. Feeling bold? Try the hoppy Granite Bay IPA (6.0% hello!) or the fermented Kolsch ale. Grab a local charcuterie plate with rillette, pate, and an assortment of cured meats, and settle in for the afternoon – just don’t forget to grab a growler on your way out.
Game for more as day turns to night? Look no further than Paradise Arcade for dinner! With its copper piping, decorative cacti, mural of Frida Kahlo and neon signage, the décor at Paradise Arcade is equally as amazing as the food. Spice up your day with dishes like Baja fish tacos, chargrilled pineapple salsa and pork chorizo tostadas, all washed down with their signature Brewdog Elvis Juice.

The world’s your oyster at the spectacular Café Le Monde. Monday never felt so far away, especially when whiling the morning away with their luxurious spanner crab omelette with chili, coconut and lime dressing – need we say more? Café Le Monde is as Noosa as white linen on Hasting Street, and when you’re clutching a kombucha breakfast cocktail and watching people on Main Beach, you’ll feel every inch the local.
When in Noosa, do as the locals do, which means hitting the surf at Noosa Main Beach! Give a wave to their regular surfing instructors if you’re a newbie to the sport, while certified grommets need look no further than the big rippers crashing near the Main Beach’s rock wall.
After the surf comes lunch, and there’s options galore this weekend! For those after some old school treats, head inland for Canteen Kitchen + Bar. Dishing up a Boardriders burger stacked with oregano field mushroom, fried egg, cheese, rocket and tomato chutney, it’s no wonder this place is always pumping.
Alternatively, those who can’t get enough of the water need only to follow the river down to Thomas Corner Eatery, the ultimate riverside lunch destination. Spend a lazy afternoon devouring sashimi kingfish with crushed peanuts and fingerlime, braised wagyu short ribs with green papaya, Vietnamese mint and lime dressing alongside freshly shucked oysters. Add wine or beer from the extensive range or try their signature cocktail – a Thai chilli basil martini – SPICY!
It’s safe to say that after a weekend of feasting, your piggy bank will be running a little dry. Good thing you don’t have to be James Bond to get a piece of Miss Moneypenny’s! With an extensive list of pizzas and cocktails, this Hasting St venue will have you feeling as suave as 007. Treat yourself to a slow roasted lamb shoulder pizza whilst sipping on a rose petal martini. If you’re on your way home from a Bond-style dalliance with the enemy, why not stop by for whipped pecan praline and bourbon chocolate fondant? Miss Moneypenny’s has more tricks up her sleeve than Q.
