There’s a new pizzeria in town, one that’s dishing up traditional wood-fired pizzas with a side of putt putt, al fresco dining and incredible views. Yep, you guessed it, this new Italian flavour has popped up at Victoria Park, and it’s here to take over your summer with all the carbs and cheese you can handle.
Nestled between the Victoria Park Orchard and the Victoria Park Bistro (our current fave place for a Sunday breakfast, btw), the Victoria Park Pizza Kitchen has just fired up their brand new pizza oven, with 2 experienced chefs coming all the way from Italy to spin dough and oversee the launch of the Napoletana style pizzas. On the menu, you’ll find everything from saucy margheritas and the prosciutto and rocket topped primavera to an epically cheesy quattro formaggi with fior di latte, gorgonzola, taleggio and parmesan.
All topped with local, seasonal produce, some it grown in their very own kitchen garden, the Victoria Park pizzas can even be made gluten free, with vegetarian and vegan options available. All your festive catch up needs, sorted.
You can even watch the chefs expertly spin the dough and throw them in the oven to be wood-fired to perfection from the viewing window – so you can see your feast being prepared every step of the way! It all goes down best from one of the Bistro’s picnic tables, paired with a jug of fruity Pimms, of course.
Best of all, to celebrate the opening, Victoria Park are giving one and all the chance to win a pizza making class for six with their head Pizzaiolo, along with plenty of pizza tasting! All you have to do to be in the running is head to their Facebook page @VicParkBrisbane and tag 5 friends in the competition post! We’ll take a pizza that action.
Get your next wood-fired pizza fix at the Victoria Park Pizza Kitchen, now open seven days a week at Victoria Park.
