Do you drool over the Chocolate Komberry’s cronuts, cruffins and milky buns at Eat Street on a weekly basis? Well best put a bib on, because you’re about to be left open mouthed at the doughy rounds being brought to you by their new Brisbane food truck, The Doughnut Bar.
The doughnut-obsessed caravan will be raising the bar for all of doughnut kind. The same pastry chefs who gave us the genius that is the deep-fried, sauce-filled cronut, have transferred their skills to just the doughnut part of the delicious, mutant pastry – and we couldn’t be more excited.
Not that we needed a lot of encouragement. Brisbane has gone mad for donuts in recent months and we already love the wheels of deliciousness nearly as much as Kanye loves Kanye. But after a sneak peek of flavours like the Hershey Half Melt, a doughnut covered in Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Crème chocolate and topped with dark chocolate chip cookie crumbs, we’ve gone past love and into obsessesed stalker mode.
The all-natural flavour list also includes the likes of Tim Tam, Oreo, salted caramel pretzel and a whole lot of other irresistible goodness that will have you dribbling over their Facebook page and camping out at their planned appearances. The first of which just happens to be today (Wednesday 22nd) in the Wintergarden from noon, then at Eats and Beats this Friday, closely followed by Downey Park Food Trucks on Saturday.
Just don’t get in our way when you find them.
