The city’s freshest new lunch spot

If this heat has you contemplating buying a one-way ticket to the shores of Hawaii, don’t grab your passport just yet – Brisbane’s got the next best thing.

Nestled in the CBD’s lively 100 Creek St Laneway, Malolo Poke is the summer lunch saviour of your dreams, serving refreshing poké bowls and mouthwatering burgers.

A new look and taste from the family behind Espresso Republic, the recently revamped space now features a contemporary fit-out with a poke bowl station, neon lights, and minimal decor. Not to worry, coffee enthusiasts; Malolo will still serve the morning brews you’ve come to love, accompanied by a breakfast menu featuring faves like bircher, smashed avo, and the renowned bacon and egg roll, all for under $8 a pop. You might still be a homeowner yet.

With locally-sourced produce and line-caught seafood, owner Diego Flaksbard’s focus on clean, healthy, and sustainable eating is apparent in the high-quality ingredients in each poké bowl.

We pity the fool who’s not indulging in mouth-watering bowls like the Mr T with Queensland tiger prawns, beets, coriander and edamame; or the Loco Lomi with salmon sashimi, red onion, carrot, pink radish, and cucumber.

Feeling creative? Take lunch into your own hands with build-your-own bowls, featuring choices like poached chicken, pulled pork, tofu, and a whole lot of veggies and toppings.

Let’s be real; your diet attempts aren’t fooling anyone, so take a dive into Malolo’s burger range with heroes like wagyu beef, grilled chicken, and 20-hour pulled pork for just $8.50.

Looking for a new lunch bestie? You’ve got a friend in Malolo.
