Best believe we’re heading straight to the Sunny Coast this February to taste all the flavours of the third annual Sunshine Coast Asian Food Festival.
Taking place in the pristine grounds of Spicers Tamarind Retreat in Maleny on Saturday, February 22, the festival is the perfect occasion to wrap your lips around some traditional and vibrant Asian street food!
The Tamarind’s acclaimed head chef Daniel Jarrett has prepared a menu overflowing with fresh Asian flavours, highlighted in dishes like bao buns with Xinjiang-style lamb and green mayo, and Asian-style pork tacos with char siu braised pork, apple hoisin, coriander and cabbage slaw. Get sticky with pad Thai chicken wings or healthy with a tuna rice bowl, before finishing with a refreshing Asian-inspired gelato by Maleny Food Co.
Sips on offer include a range of prestige wines, Brouhaha Beer and tipples from Noosa’s Fortune Distillery, including gin, vodka and cider.
In addition to the multitude of eats and drinks, The Tamarind’s talented chefs will be on hand, ready to guide you in Asian cooking demonstrations, while awarded sommelier and GM of Clovelly Estate, Peter Marchant, treats you to an exclusive riesling masterclass.
Tickets to this all-ages festival are $99 for adults and $65 for little ones, with five food tickets and two beverage tickets included in the price of your ticket. Grab yours here.
