ETSU IZAKAYA
Think traditional Japanese izakaya eats, but faaaancy. For some of the Coast’s best fare in a funky setting, book a table for your gang at Etsu and work your way through the epic menu. Take your pick from raw dishes, sushi maki, tempura, gyoza, yakitori, or something from the grill, or opt for a set menu for the table and let the chefs work their magic….
BAM BAM BAKEHOUSE
For breaky, lunch, or just when those pastry cravings get too hot to handle, it’s gotta be Bam Bam. Traditional French patisserie with a touch of GC charm, Bam Bam Bakehouse has attracted a cult-like following thanks to eternally Insta-worthy eats that are almost too pretty to eat.

ALFRED’S DINER
Alfred’s does it all… It’s a barbershop, streetwear store AND a diner in one! Of course our first priority is the eats–we’re talking classy street food, breaky burritos, juicy burgers and perfect coffee in a neat space outside. We finally feel like one of the cool kids.
THE GLENELG PUBLIC HOUSE
The Glenelg Public House is a fan favourite when it comes to classy coastal eateries, with a produce-driven menu of modern-Aussie flavours and a divine selection of steaks. We suggest rallying your most carnivorous troops, and getting down and dirty with a one-kilo Black Angus T-Bone, some sides (don’t miss the Paris mash) and a bottle of red or two or three.
BONITA BONITA
Introducing Bonita Bonita, the modern Mexican eatery you didn’t know you needed in your life until now…
From smoky, spicy starters to tacos, nachos, and share plates, Bonita Bonita’s food is something to behold. Bon Bon Bar will keep the mezcal coming as you feast the night away, or opt for a spicy marg if you dare. Whatever you do, make sure you don’t leave Mermaid Beach without trying their chorizo croquettes.
THE MILKMAN’S DAUGHTER
The ‘feel good place’ of the Gold Coast, The Milkman’s Daughter serves up a strictly veg-only menu of wholesome eats that have us coming back time and time again. Why would you not order the peanut butter latte!?
D’ALLEY EATERY
This is the stuff of gourmand dreams…
If you’re on the hunt for a damn good burger on the GC, your search stops at D’Alley Eatery. Simple but effective, their menu of nine burgs covers beef, pork, chook, mushroom, and halloumi, with some wacky (and a few tame) flavour combos to wrap your gob around.
