When it comes to clicking your heels on a multi-million-dollar race track with foodie options aplenty, there is truly no place like Brisbane Racing Club this season!
Not only is the Eagle Farm Racecourse calendar filled with mane attractions; this season will see mouthwatering pop-ups and specials taking over the Stradbroke Plaza, as well as acts like Spice Girls and The Rolling Stones tribute bands. The best bit? General admission to all these racing events comes in at only $25! Hello extra bubbles…
While horse fixtures and betting is all Greek to us, Greek pop-up restaurant Thalassa is definitely speaking our language! Alongside Thalassa’s gourmet seafood bites will be the golden nuggets available at the Nug Life pop-up – we’re talking everyone’s favourite snack loaded with every topping from Parmageddon to Return of the Mac.
For old-school snacks of a different kind, look no further than ’76 – a pop-up serving up retro favourites such as Cheerios, lamingtons, kabana and more, while those who’d rather have the whole picnic will adore the hampers from Spring Picnic Co. filled with baguettes, tartlets, a cheese platter, and sweets!
What about the sips, you ask? Not to worry, foodies – Brisbane Racing Club is also offering up a seasonal signature cocktail titled the Spring Spritz, which is a refreshing blend of cucumber and lime Smirnoff Infusions topped with all kinds of spring-worthy sprigs.
Kick off the Spring Racing Carnival with the peak of big races at the Caulfield Cup Ladies’ Day, which will feature The Everest; a race with a prize pool coming in at a cool $13 million dollars! Stepping up to the plate later in the month is SUEZ Cox Plate Day where the number of foodie offers (a three-course regal lunch, anyone?) almost outnumber the eight races being held on the day.
As for next month, Brisbane Racing Club also has you covered with Saturday, November 2’s Derby Day. From 10:30am to 8pm, expect everyone to be dressed in their best black and white, and indulging in everything from bubbles on the deck to garden parties in the racecourse’s stunning marquee. The season culminates, of course, with Melbourne Cup Day – go full Makybe Diva and treat yourself to the Block Party in the Ascot Enclosure with a five-hour beverage package, canapés, and live entertainment!

Keeping the G&G up to date with tasty tidbits requires a lot of lattes and espresso martinis, so we occasionally need to give out some sponsored love. Rest assured that we only work with businesses that we think are really nifty, as the sponsor for this post is!
