The Valley is getting an electric injection of Japan’s nightlife with Solotel’s Goros coming soon

Tokyo nights spent in izakaya bars with karaoke and street food? We can picture it already.

If this is your first time hearing the name Goros, it certainly won’t be the last.

Goros is Solotel’s Japanese love child combining neon lights, sake shots, street eats and late night mischief, and sadly for the rest of the nation, is currently only pumping in Sydney’s Surry Hills. This bar has also just been announced as the winner of the Best Late Night Venue Award by the AHA NSW, which is no small feat.

Why are we talking about a Sydney spot, you wonder? Well, you’ve awoken to good news – Goros is flying into Brisbane with an izakaya cross nightclub set to open in the heart of Fortitude Valley in early 2025.

Keeping the name and the impeccable vibes, Goros Brisbane will feature karaoke rooms, games nights and a menu that’s as loud and fun as the music. The drinks list is a Japanese medley of spirits, whiskies, cocktails and much more. And if you’ve heard of the iconic sake bomb cocktails, rest assured they will be front and centre to kick-start your night out with a bang.

The Brissie spin-off will feature multiple levels at 6 Warner Lane with room for up to 500 revellers, coming just in time before we all start dreaming of jet-setting to Japan for cherry blossom season next year. Stay tuned and ready to say Kanpai to Goros!
