Since opening back in 2017, Yeerongpilly’s Slipstream Brewing has been a favourite for quality brews, family-friendly vibes, and an insight into the beer production process. Now, the team is introducing a bright, modern bar and kitchen into the mix at their Wilkie Street site, with a beer garden complete with a kids play area affirming their something-for-everyone offering!
The refreshed space has room for up to 250 guests, and is studded with colourful elements, industrial charm and plenty of spots to kick back and relax with a brew in hand, including the Celebration Ale double IPA with pine, grapefruit, mandarin and cumquat characters that Slipstream has just released to commemorate the reno.
The newly introduced open kitchen offers classics like wood-fired pizzas, burgers, smoked meats and fresh seafood served up with an overarching Southern-US influence. Highlights include fish tacos with battered barramundi, pico de gallo, lettuce, salsa roja, pickled jalapeños and ricotta salata, popcorn cauliflower in enchilada sauce, coriander, shallots and ranch, and the smoked meat of the day served with chefs special BBQ sauce, chipotle coleslaw and fries.
With the refresh of their space, Slipstream plans on hosting special events including beer masterclasses, meet-the-brewer sessions and beer-matching dinners with head brewer Ian Watson. For now, they’re open Wednesday-Sunday from 11 am.
