Iconic riverside spot, Riverbar + Kitchen, is set to make an epic comeback and we are all about it. Coming back with a whole new look (including new branding) rumour is that the renovations are going brilliantly and the place is looking pretty spiffy already. The venue was completely devastated by this year’s February floods, and its absence over the past 6 months has been felt by all.
Co-owner, celebrity chef Matt Moran commented on how the floods had not only destroyed the area extensively, but also that the impact on his staff (and patrons) was heartbreaking. He alongside the team at Solotel are very excited to welcome everyone back (and so are we)!
If the news of its reopening isn’t marvellous enough, we were thrilled to hear that Matt has been working together with Venue Manager Wesley Smith and head chef Bambi Chanpen to create a brand new menu, which will include breakfast, lunch, dinner, and all the tasty snacks and morsels in between. Our favourite bit: the addition of oodles of locally sourced raw seafood and fresh local produce making its way onto the menu.
Set to open in mid-October, you can bet your bottom that we are counting down the days until we are riverside sipping on sensational cocktails… Summer afternoon sessions – here we come.
