OTTO Brisbane’s triple-threat South Bank locale is now open!

Primo Italian fine dining in one of the city’s most striking locations…

After months of anticipation, today marks the day OTTO Brisbane opens its Sidon Street eatery! Previously home to Stokehouse Q (talk about a hard act to follow) the iconic location sits atop the Brisbane River within South Bank’s River Quay precinct.

Capitalising on the versatility of the space and stunning alfresco area with sweeping views of the water and city, OTTO Brisbane will consist of three major arms: OTTO Ristorante, OTTO Osteria, and OTTO Events.

If you ever had the pleasure of visiting their Queen Street home, OTTO Ristorante’s offerings will be no surprise to you. The team (and talent) of OTTO has made the trek across the city, with many stars of Head Chef Will Cowper’s menu still available.

Dictated by what’s in season and with flavours that transport diners straight to Southern Italy, the menu’s stand-out dishes include capesante (Hervey Bay scallops with pumpkin, black pudding, sage, muscatels, pine nuts, and brown butter) and spaghettini (champagne lobster with garlic, chilli, white wine, lemon butter, and bottarga).

The exciting new concept, OTTO Osteria, is set to be unveiled today too. Think alfresco aperitivo hours, a more relaxed menu inspired by the regions of Northern Italy, a bold cocktail offering, and an Italian-centric wine list. Pop by at sunset (walk-ins only) and enjoy some of Brisbane’s best views while nibbling on olives, grissini, mini focaccias, and salumi, or bigger bites like butterflied quail with grape salsa, and a classic cacio e pepe.

OTTO Events is made up of three exclusive spaces suited for events of all shapes and sizes. The Sopra space sits above the main dining room, perfect for a semi-private lunch and dinner, while the Piazza space offers an intimate indoor-outdoor dining experience on the edge of the river. The Centrale space is an open area giving groups the feeling of intimacy without being too far from the buzz of OTTO Ristorante.
