A glam French-influenced bar awaits on this Woolloongabba rooftop

Champagne, fromage and duck liver choux lie a few flights up.

With Gabba restaurant C’est Bon known for serving up classic French fare with flair, its gorgeous rooftop space cements the spot as a must-visit addition to the boom of Woolloongabba’s new restaurants and bars!

Officially launching on July 9 (though it’s been low-key running for a little while), Ooh La La rooftop bar serves up elegant French canapés and small plates alongside a classy list of cocktails and sommelier-selected wines.

Ascend past heritage chimneys and 1900s facades (accessed via a nondescript driveway on Annerley Road) to be rewarded with expansive views of South Brisbane and surrounds. Ooh La La’s modern/minimalist design perfectly complements the heritage elements of the building, with views of the neighbouring Mater hospital, to the bright lights of the Gabba, and over the streets below (if you squint it could be Paris?).

The rooftop menu features the likes of duck liver parfait eclairs, confit pig terrine with rhubarb, celeriac and dill pickles, and creamy mouclade-style mussels with chives and bottarga. There’s a section of the menu made for larger groups, too, featuring a fruits de mer platter of prawns, spanner crab, Appellation oysters, mussels, kingfish and caviar blinis, which practically begs to be paired with champagne!

Speaking of drinks, a succinct list of wines is entirely available by the glass as well as the bottle, with big names like Roederer and Château de Francs listed alongside Queensland’s own Witches Falls. Cocktails are simple and classy, like La Gazelle with rhum, passionfruit and falernum, or the Saint-Germain-des-Prés with gin, cucumber and elderflower.

Ooh La La is open from 3 pm Friday-Sunday. Learn more and book your spot online here
