Brisbane's newest spots for beer-lovers to check out this summer

It seems summer is here (in spirit, at least), so it’s time to settle in with a few cold ones at these new breweries and dedicated beer havens.

Whether you’re chasing a full-hopped IPA or love a refreshing lager on a hot day, some new spots all about brews have opened up in Brissie (and we reckon that’s a summer of sipping sorted).

Easy Times Brewing Co. | Woolloongabba

Pouring brews from 20 taps in the Logan Road precinct that calls other institutions like Enoteca and Canvas home, Easy Times has landed literally across the road from the Gabba, and it’s hard to imagine a world without this brewpub!

As well as a whole host of great beers on tap and in tins available seven days, you can head upstairs to grab a feed from Proof BBQ, known for their fall-apart brisket straight out of the smoker, loaded burgers, and beer-friendly snacks. Now that’s post-game munching done right.

Felon’s Barrel Hall | CBD

You know it, you love it, you now have even more space to settle in and enjoy the brews by Howard Smith Wharves’ Felons Brewing Co.! The Barrel Hall takes its inspiration from the classic Bavarian beer hall, with a multi-disciplinary arts program adding a unique local element.

On top of the range of Felons brews, a South East Asian-influenced menu by chef Ralph So features the likes of yellowfin tuna sashimi with red nahm jim and blood orange, tamarind-glazed crispy lamb ribs, and Moreton Bay bug buns with cos lettuce and spicy mayo—perfect for a summer of riverside snacking with a coldie in hand!

Lost Palms Brewing Co. | Sherwood

The second outpost from Miami-based brewery Lost Palms, this taproom and eatery is all about craft beer and satisfying snacks to suit. Take your pick from 11 taps featuring Lost Palms beers on rotation, and chow down on nibbles like panko mushroom bites, cheese and bacon-loaded fries, and mac ‘n’ cheese sticks, or grab a Nashville Chicken burger with buttermilk chicken tenders, cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion with Lost Palms sauce. Swathed in pink to echo the original’s exterior, this southside gem is guaranteed to become a summer staple.

Dude & Duke Beer | Deception Bay

Here’s one for your far-northsiders! Pairing plenty of Aussie craft brews on tap with smoky meat and burgers right off the grill outside, Dude & Duke is the tasty beer-and-burger joint that D-Bay has been begging for. Our eyes (and stomachs) are set on the barbecue tasting plate, with half a pound of brisket, half a pound of pulled pork, smoked chorizo, and a half-rack of pork ribs!

Well, what’ll it beer?
