Bandini Prosecco: The perfect bottle of bubbly for celebrating National Prosecco Day!

On your marks, get set...Prosecco!

You don’t need just one day to celebrate with family and friends, but National Prosecco Day is the perfect reason to do just that! Even if you are a serious Spritz lover, we have six reasons to convince you that a glass of Prosecco is perfect on its own…

Prosecco is a place?! Who knew?

While Aussies make a pretty good version of Prosecco, the real Italian Prosecco (or D.O.C. Prosecco) is named after the former village of Prosecco, now part of the Italian city of Trieste. These days, Prosecco D.O.C. is exclusively produced in a limited area of North Eastern Italy between the blue Adriatic Sea and the soaring Dolomite mountains.

D.O.C. Prosecco is protected by the Italian Government
Denominazione di Origine Controllata (DOC) means “designation of controlled origin.” To mark the authenticity of D.O.C. Prosecco each bottle comes with a unique alphanumeric code located on the side of the collar. How boujee!
It’s wonderfully suited to the Aussie climate
Extra dry with crisp acidity – yet delicate and complex with fruity notes of peach, green apple, and melon. Perfect as an aperitivo, delicious with seafood, and ideal for the Australian climate.

Fewer hangovers
One of our fave brands of bubbly, Bandini Prosecco D.O.C. is 11% alcohol which is lower than most Champagnes, whereas Kiwi Sauvignon Blancs can be up to 14% and Australian Shiraz up to 15.5% ABV! Bandini Prosecco is delicately sparkling, beautifully balanced and as dynamic as those who choose to enjoy it ?
Prosecco D.O.C. is perfect price point
You can find great, D.O.C. Prosecco at half the price of Champagne. While it’s pricier than Passion Pop, you still get the thrill of enjoying a sophisticated glass of Italian bubbly with the tune of spare change jangling in your Prada purse to match.
It comes in pink!
In 2020, the final approval of Prosecco Rosé was granted by Italy’s Prosecco D.O.C. Consortium. The addition of up to 15% pinot noir to the traditional Prosecco (Glera) grape give it its peachy pink colour making it wonderfully food-friendly perfect with more robust flavours like some red meats.

We know how we will be celebrating this weekend…bring on the bubbly!
