King St is hosting a Mother’s Day market courtesy of the Market Folk, fit with live musicians, a portrait artist (who promises to draw you badly), an interactive clay wheel and giveaways galore, it’s a great idea to finish up the day from 4pm-8pm. If you’re up Bowen Hills way, why not stop by the Affordable Art Fair to grab mum that perfect last-minute gift? They had a huge run last year, and this one’s going to be even bigger with 12,000 attendees expected to come. Prices start as low as $100, and you can check out the information here.

Now, it’s not our fault you left this one too late – the Mother’s Day lunch at Patina at Customs House is sold out, *but* we have the perfect substitute for a mum who loves to eat well. Their sister location at Alumni Court is hosting their own Mother’s Day lunch, and there are still times available as well as a seriously delicious menu on offer. While their buffet breakfast and Chandon lunch are sold out, Victoria Park still has seatings for their a la carte menu for Mother’s Day, which honestly sounds like a miracle to us.
