Moreton Bay Food and Wine Festival

Prepare for us to bug you until you know everything about Moreton Bay’s most delicious festival.

Do you like food? Do you like wine? Do you like good times, a beautiful backdrop and loads of entertainment? If you are a human, you likely answered yes to all of those questions.

Well, human, listen up! The Moreton Bay Food and Wine Festival is returning to Moreton Bay this September, ready to tick all your boxes. With free entry to the festival precinct, cooking demos, workshops and tons of family-friendly events, there is something to please every palate in your party!

Winding its way around the stunning Redcliffe foreshore, the festival is for sure set to be a foodie’s paradise, and we have everything you need to know right here.

 Free Festival Precinct

 Along Redcliffe Parade you’ll find the festival precinct, which is completely free, thank you very much. As the sights and smells ignite your senses, you can sip and taste your way through the precinct, soaking up the very best of what the region has to offer.

Sitting pretty on the glorious Redcliffe beach, you’ll find the Kindred Beach Teepee Bar and Stage. With a cold drink in hand, you can sink your toes into the sand and enjoy the live and loud sounds of great local acts rocking out on stage.

Moreton Bay locals and huge names in the culinary world, chefs Alastair McLeodand Matt Sinclairwill grace the festival, sharing their expertise and cooking up a storm at the USC Seafood Cooking Stage. Inspired by the flavours of the region, you can expect the boys to blow your mind with their exciting and bold recipes. Check out the timetable for that here

Chef Alastair McLeod is also doing us another solid, bringing his plethora of culinary knowledge to the Courier Mail Local Tastes Pavilion. Here you can sample gorgeous local produce, meet the passionate artisan producers and stock up on home-grown goodies.

For those wanting to welcome the month of Septem-beer, there are plenty of boozy spots just for you, including the Mon Komo Hotel Cabana Bar and Craft Brews by the Bay.

If you somehow manage to have room left, there is also set to be an area of the festival completely devoted to sweet treats, with the Dessert Festival dishing up everything sugary, creamy and frozen.

Workshops and Events

 If you have a resting beach face and are keen to get out on the ocean, we present to you Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival – On The Water. The three-hour sunset cruise onboard the MV Eye Spy will include a seafood buffet dinner, drinks package, live music and uninterrupted views of the festival fireworks. Book your spot here

If you’re feeling game, why not try to attempt the Smash It Burger Challenge? Beat the behemoth of a burger and become a Moreton Bay legend. For those feeling a bit more posh, the Shared Sicilian dining experience with matching wines may be more your style. 

There’s also plenty to keep the little ones entertained, including cookie decorating and face painting at Café Diversity, as well as Sesame Lane’s kids pizza-making workshopswhich is completely free. That means free pizza-making fun as well as free pizza… can we come too?

Following a sold-out event at the last festival, the iconic Bee Gees Way will again be home to an exclusive dining event, with guests treated to a three-course meal and plenty of Bee Gees-inspired entertainment.
