If you want to visit one of Australia’s best bars, you don’t need to travel out of Brisbane – The Gresham picked up Bar of the Year in 2015, making them everyone’s new favourite spot for a drink. Step inside this bar and you’ll think you’ve stepped back in time to a bygone era, with leather couches, dark wood and an old-world feel. You won’t be looking at the furniture inside though, because you’ll be too busy taking in the wall of top shelf spirits behind the bar.

With more than 200 types of whiskey on the menu, ranging from the familiar Wild Turkey Rye to an extravagant Jameson Rarest Vintage, you might just find yourself switching from your normal gin and tonic or beer to something a little richer. If not, the drinks menu also features an impressive menu of cocktails, beers, ciders, wines, rums and tequilas. Either way, you won’t be leaving thirsty!

Apart from the booze, The Gresham’s main appeal lies in its clever and skilled bartenders, who know more about the spirits they pour than you would think possible and can whip up some one-of-a-kind cocktails.
