Malt Dining

One of the most impressive features of Malt – other than its food – is its setting. The restaurant is located in Wenley House – one of Brisbane’s most iconic inner-city buildings, and its interior design captures the historical eloquence of the building. Exposed brick, original timber flooring, and double-hung windows all work to recreate the nineteenth century working-class charm.

The building has three levels: a cellar for private dining, a bar, and a dining floor, and each has its own menu. Malt is an ideal and unique venue for intimate special events, but if you want to experience it an affordable way, the lunch specials and bar menu are just the thing. Lunch specials offer two courses for $49 or three for $59, otherwise curling up at imposing the bar with a beautiful glass of red and a selection of the bar snacks is the perfect way to wile away a gloomy winter’s day.
