Boy, do we have a lot to taco ‘bout!
Starting as a vegan Mexican concept, El Planta was immensely popular as an experimental pop-up at Fish Lane’s Wandering Cooks, before it transformed into a bricks-and-mortar establishment on Hope St.
This tasty spot is all about plant-based innovation, with owners Adrienne Jory and Rick Gibson taking dishes like tacos de al pastor and frijole con puerco, where pork is considered an essential ingredient, and elevated them using slow-braised jackfruit instead!
Everything at this taqueria is completely handmade from scratch, and absolutely bursting with flavour and zing.
