With city slicker dining in the comfort of suburbia, Blockhouse Eat & Drink is a café by day, sophisticated wine and champagne bar by night. Start the day with their stellar breakfast menu, with the likes of baguette with green peas and ham hock, and sourdough with tender 18 hour beef cheek and chimichurri, all available until a very civilised 2:30pm, giving your food baby just enough time to settle before coming back for their equally-as-enticing dinner menu from 6pm.

In keeping with the whole neighbourhood feel, the main dinner menu involves sharing proteins like duck and le puy green lentil pie, flaked salmon with grains and Portugese style sardines, but for the true Blockhouse experience, grab a seat at the bar and munch on some share plates. Finish the experience off with dessert (just an Eton mess with vodka and macadamia no less!), or a champagne from their 25 strong list, and leave ready to make this gem your new local.
