The final chapter runs from 1 September to 31 October, with Cálida teaming up with Wirra Wirra Vineyards, to bring together Stanbroke Wagyu and a McLaren Vale winery with over a century of stories tucked between its barrels. Think reds that feel like velvet, whites with just the right edge and roses that taste like sunshine. Together, they will be paired with wagyu dishes curated by Chef Ajit Giri, as a final love letter to the series.
It all kicks off with an intimate six-course launch dinner on Thursday, 4 September, with only 19 seats up for grabs. The menu will be stacked with dishes like wagyu caviar toast with Sauvignon Blanc, Spinalis Steak with RSW shiraz and, for dessert, Coffee Semifreddo matched with Woodhenge Shiraz. Tickets are priced at $180pp… and, let’s be honest, they won’t last long.
But, for those who can’t make it to dinner that night? No stress! Across September and October, you can build your own experience by trying the wagyu menu for $110pp or the wine pairing for $70 or you can take a leap into both for $180.
It’s the last chapter in a story Cálida has been telling for the past six months. They are wrapping up and going out with a bang. So go enjoy wagyu, wine and the art of bringing them together at Cálida.
