La Macelleria’s sweet Christmas specials for sharing (or scoffing)

We all know calories don’t count in December...

If there’s one thing we love about an Aussie Christmas, it’s the fact we get to ditch stodgy puddings and boring biscuits for prawns, spritzes and chilled-out ice cream creations, and La Macelleria’s seasonal specials, now available for ordering, certainly do the job!

On the menu this year, the single portion Christmas baubles are a cute treat that are almost too beautiful to eat (and are hanging out in the cabinet at La Macelleria’s Teneriffe location ready to be picked up) while the adorable Christmas tree gelato cake serves four and combines up to two of your favourite flavours in a delicious centrepiece that will certainly upstage Mum’s 20-year-old nativity scene…

For those who are inclined to share (we commend you!), the hamper basket is loaded up with gelato delicacies including four gelato cannolis, six minicones and ten gelato rochers–the perfect gift for a sweet tooth, or bringing some end-of-year sweetness to the office.

If you’re feeding a flock this Christmas, the yule log gelato cake serves ten with any two flavours, while the gelato-filled panettone (also suited for up to ten) is a delicious take on an Italian Christmas classic!

In the spirit of Christmas, La Macelleria is giving away a gelato panettone; simply head into your local and share a snap with the hashtag #lovelamacelleria on Instagram by Monday, December 14 for your chance to take home the (gelato-filled) cake!

Christmas pre-orders for cakes and hampers must be placed before Wednesday, December 16, and can be sorted out here.

Keeping The G&G up to date with tasty tidbits requires a lot of lattes and espresso martinis, so we occasionally collaborate with local businesses we love, like this one. To see how we can help you out and to learn more about our food-crazy audience, head here.
