After a horror year for hospo, Good Food Month is coming back to celebrate Brisbane venues!

Pop-up dinners, free cocktails, and bargain banquets are on the cards!

As the cherry on top of Brisbane hospitality’s triumphant return to service, Good Food Month is heading back to Brisbane for its seventh year in 2020, today launching a series of featured and partnered events putting some of Brisbane’s beloved venues on a pedestal.

Running throughout November, Good Food Month’s featured venues celebrate a formidable crew of local names, beginning with Alanna Sapwell bringing her Esmay pop-up down from the former Wasabi site it’s been occupying in Noosa, and setting up (pop-up) shop at the Valley’s Baja on Sunday and Monday, November 22 and 23.

Down by the boardwalk, Stanley head chef Louis Tikaram is teaming up with some old pals from Sydney’s Bentley, including Gerard’s Bistro head chef Adam Wolfers, and Alex Munoz Labart of Burleigh’s Labart for a reunion dinner on Wednesday, November 25, while a Young Chefs Lunch will go down in vegetarian style at Za Za Ta on Saturday, November 28.

The final featured event will see national treasure Gelato Messina collaborate with the team at Donna Chang for a gelato yum cha high tea (what a delicious mouthful) on Sunday, November 29.

In addition to the ticketed events (which are on sale from today), a range of Friends of Good Food Month experiences is also on the menu, with standouts including $45 banquets available at The Golden Pig throughout the month, a Bugs & Bubbles Brunch at Patina at Customs House, and complimentary cocktails at Three Blue Ducks with every visit made during the month!

We’ve all had a big year, and we can’t think of a better way to start rounding it off than with some one-off foodie experiences! You can see the full list of Good Food Month events here.
