Coffee a part of your daily grind?
We know you’ve probably got your tried and true local pit-stop, but whether you’re a local or one of the many Brisbanites who beg for the beach on the weekend (guilty), we recommend giving these Gold Coast roasters and grinders a shot. They’ve got the feel-good brew that’s sure to give you an ear to ear smile.
Canteen Coffee | Burleigh Heads
Far from canteen quality, Canteen Coffee serves up freshly roasted brews and house baked goods daily, smack bang in the middle of beautiful Burleigh Heads. Enjoy your hit of caffeine in their courtyard garden or take away, either way, these guys know what they’re doing.
Blackboard Cafe | Varsity Lakes
Blackboard is renowned for their seasonal espresso blend and have got themselves such a good reputation that they actually sell their beans to other brewers looking to serve up good coffee. Moreover, it’s not just the coffee here, the food is damn good too. But don’t just take our word for it, get in see for yourself.
Parlour Coffee | Burleigh Heads
This wholesome coffee spot is a parlour for home roasted brews and farm-style eats all dusted with love. Cute as a button with the friendliest service around – but beware, locals love this spot so get in early if you want a table.
Stairwell | Surfers Paradise
This is one of those great hole in the wall coffee shops that you just keep coming back for. While you might not be able to dine in, the espresso, cold brew and nitro coffee here is perfect for a to-go option as you hit the beach.

Elk Espresso | Broadbeach
Talk of the town, Elk Espresso serves up some of Gold Coast’s most Instagrammed plates. But they couldn’t stop there, these guys brew some bangin’ coffee as well. Nestled in the back streets of Broadbeach, a visit here is the perfect way to start your day.
Skull and Bones Boutique Espresso | Mermaid Beach
This little boutique comes to please. Serving everything in an easy to take away fashion, one visit here and it’ll become your regular haunt – especially if you grab one of their bagel sandwiches.
Dust Temple | Currumbin Waters
If there is a latte on your mind, you might want to consider a trip to the art deco dame we know as the Dust Temple. Out in Currumbin Valley, the relaxed vibe here is an incubator for laying back. Bring your coffee loving companions or come by yourself, you’ll leave feeling refreshed (and buzzed).
One thing’s for sure, the coast is crushing the coffee scene right now.
